Question 1

What is Devil Muse?

Accepted Answer

Devil Muse is a worldbuilding and writing workspace built for authors who create entire universes, not just stories. It connects your characters, lore, locations, stories, chapters, bloodlines, rituals, and everything in between in one place, so you can click on any character, location, or ritual and instantly see every chapter, story, and lore entry attached to it.

Question 2

What is the Authors Catacomb Hub?

Accepted Answer

The Authors Hub is your personal landing chamber, a directory into the cathedral. Its doorways lead to the Manuscript, Character Vault, Lorebook, Wraith Records, Coffin Shelf, and the Community (The Black Veil). It is the home base for your entire writing ecosystem.

Question 3

What is The Black Veil?

Accepted Answer

The Black Veil is our private author community. Inside you will find The Common Room (general feed), The Duet Board (collaboration calls), The Black Box (report issues), and The Altar (announcements). It is where authors find each other in the dark.

Question 4

What is Duet Chat?

Accepted Answer

Duet Chat is a co-authoring system that links two authors together. Once linked through the Duet Board, your shared manuscript chat automatically appears inside your writing chamber. It is seamless, private, and built for two sinners.

Question 5

Is the website free?

Accepted Answer

During load testing, yes. All Founding Authors who sign up before signups close receive free membership, even after the paywall goes up.

Question 6

What is a Founding Author?

Accepted Answer

A Founding Author is someone who joined Devil Muse during its first rise. Founding Authors help shape the cathedral, test new chambers, get early access, receive free lifetime membership, and become part of the platform's history.

Question 7

Can anyone else see my stories or characters?

Accepted Answer

No. Everything you create, including stories, characters, lore, chapters, and intel, is private to you. The only exception is Duet Chat, which requires mutual linking, mutual consent, and activation through The Black Veil.

Question 8

What happens when signups close?

Accepted Answer

When signups close, the gates to the cathedral temporarily lock and new authors cannot create accounts until the next wave opens. During this closed period, only the Founding Authors who joined before the cutoff have access. They help test features, explore the chambers, report issues, and shape the platform. Once the system is stable and the next wave is ready, signups reopen.
